CRD-SEE implemented training to prepare volunteers for work supporting vulnerable and marginalised people in rural and remote areas. The course addressed the pandemic’s social impacts, combining information about COVID-19 with communication, critical thinking, equality and volunteering skills.
Held from 1 to 8 February 2021, the training was supported by the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe, with Red Cross Struga supporting the wider project. Topics included mental health, fake news, gender equality, cultural differences, marginalisation and conflict management. Participants also learned about the European Youth Foundation and its support for youth initiatives.
